Kayla's school celebrated Arts and Academics last week. The 2nd grade put on an incredible African musical program. The students worked very hard to learn 2 African songs, Haba Na Haba (Little by Little) and Kye Kye Kule. Some of the students even got the opportunity to play African drums during a song. We had the honor to have Francis Kofi and his family join the second graders to play a song on the drum. He has an amazing talent. I'm not sure what was more intriguing-watching him play the drums or watching Kayla as she dance to the music and watched his every move in amazement. Kayla also entered a photograph that she had taken at Como Park Conservatory. Thanks to everyone who voted. The flower won by a landslide.
