science and math night

The girls each participated in the school science fair. We had a lot of fun looking through books to find the perfect experiment for both girls, doing the experiments, and making the display board for the day of the science fair.
Kayla's science experiment was called Sink or Swim. She wanted to find out if a peel grape and an unpeeled grape would sink or swim (float) in 7UP. We had so much fun we repeated the experiment with an orange and also with just water rather that 7 up.

Kayla found out that a unpeeled grape floats because the carbonation pushes the grape up-the peeling acts like a life jacket.
Ashley conducted an experiment to see what bubble gum blows the biggest bubbles. Ashley is still learning to blow bubbles so the bubble blowing was all up to mom and dad. Ashley found out that Jum*blo blows the largest bubble.
