A weekend filled with what we love

This weekend, we kept busy with many soccer games. Saturday morning started off with the NSC championship game for the Scream. They were undefeated in this league and went on to win the championship game 4-0. Way to go girls, You Rock!!! It has been amazing to watch the girls develop skills and become a team over the last 2 years. The first year that they played in this league, they lost every game (badly). It has been so much fun to see them grow. The Black Beauties finished up the indoor season with a win. We have had many ups and downs, but everyone had a great time. Ashley loves to play every position and she is pretty good at all of them too. She seems to have no fear.

Ashley's favorite move is to take the ball into a group of girls and weave around all of them. She is pretty good at it. Nobody ever took it away from her. She loves the challenge of keeping the ball away from as many other players as she can.

Ashley has a great eye and a speedy foot. She is always able race over to an open ball.

After all of the indoor games were done, we headed outside to wind, rain (thankfully, we only got sprinkled on), and the cold (25 wind chill).

Despite the crazy weather, the girls played great. Scream lost to CCU Dynamite and tied with NM Storm and Tonka Twisters. Despite the low scoring games, the girls played great defense and had some nice passes and attempts at goal.

Daddy volunteered at the tournament as a runner. We were able to hitch a ride to our field. What a way to rest before the game.

Avery was so snuggled up in her warm clothes that she feel asleep during the game and all of the post game excitement.
