We enjoyed the 4th of July with family and friends up north. We began our celebration with a 4th of July kids parade. The kids spent hours decorating their bikes to look just perfect. The grandparents were excited to see the parade come back to the campgrounds (when I was a child, we had many 4th of July parades, but there hasn't been one in years)
Our 4th of July parade had 35 kids showing their patriotism.
We spent hours on the water tubing, swimming, and canoeing. Kayla had her first experience falling out of the tube when she was with Daddy. He hit her a bit too fast and sent her into the water, which she wasn't too happy about.
The dads even took a turn out on the tube. Don't worry Kayla, you weren't the only one to fall off of the tube. They were a bit sore and stiff the next day.
We were able to enjoy a relaxing ride around the lake in the canoe-
until they tipped it over.
Thanks for a great weekend and a lifetime of memories.
Happy 4th of July
