Kayla attended 2 days of safety camp. She loved it and learned so much.

Each day the campers were greeted by McGruff, Smokey the Bear, and Sparky the Fire dog.

Day 1 was a Busy Day of Safety Camp

*Safety Defense and Personal Safety

*Fire Safety

*Electrical Safety

*Relaxed for pizza lunch

*The kids showed off their best dance moves with the Club Dance DJ.

*A visit from Don Bania Jr., a quadriplegic due to a tragic accident caused by a drunk driver. Kayla was amazed at his drawing ability, despite his disability.

*The day ended with a visit from the MN State Patrol. The campers heard all about the helicopter and the MN State Patrol's job.

Day 2 was just as busy as the previous day and ended with a ceremony that was the highlight of Safety Camp.

*Safety on Wheels (The campers even received a new helmet.)

*Water Safety was done at FOSS Swim

*Camp ended with Brian Richards preforming a magic show called Drugs Steal the Magic.

The Best part of was the ceremony in the evening. When we the campers searched for their counselors in their uniforms. To Kayla's surprise, her group, The Super Ultra Monkeys, were lead by a park director, firefighter, medic, and police officer.

The girls also got to sit in the police cars, fire truck, and ambulance.

Kayla and her friends even got to experience how it would feel to wear cuffs.

To end the Safety Camp, the campers received a medal and a certificate.
