We decided to beat the heat and head to the beach. It is such a unique feeling to sit on the beach and be surrounded by so many tall skyscrapers. We were treated to the Chicago Air and Water Show (practice show) while swimming in Lake Michigan.
The finale was the Blue Angels. We were amazed at how fast they travel and how close they can fly together. What a way to end the perfect beach day.
The girls worked all day on building the perfect sand-scraper (modeled after the Hancock Tower).
We ended our day with a walk through the many parks that surround Chicago. Buckingham Fountain is so beautiful at night.
